Easy Smoked Mackerel Pate

A quick and simple smoked mackerel pate that's ready to eat in under 15 minutes. Enjoy with melba toasts.

Ingredients
  

  • 150g smoked mackerel
  • 75g cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp yuzu
  • freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Add all the ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth
  • Serve with melba toast

Notes

  • Melba toasts are an excellent accompaniment to the pate and a bottle of nice white doesn't go a miss either!! We drank a bottle of Muga white rioja which is one of our favourites.
  • For the melba toast, thinly slice some bread and put under the grill for 5 minutes each side, careful to watch at all times as they can burn very quickly.  The seeded granary twist recipe would be great for the melba toast if you slice it very thinly.
