Ingredients

  • 8 chicken wings (approx. 600g) wing tips removed and jointed to give 16 pieces in total
  • 1 tsp garlic paste or 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp baking powder (see Notes)
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp pimenton or smoked paprika
  • a pinch of chilli flakes
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • a pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • olive oil spray

Instructions

  • Put the wings into a large bowl and toss with the garlic, then add the baking powder, oregano, pimenton, chilli flakes, salt and pepper and toss again until all of the wings are coated.
  • Place the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket(s), or on racks, sprayed with olive oil (you may need to work in batches depending on the size of your drawer(s)).
  • Cook at 120C for 15 minutes then turn the wings over and cook at 200C for 15 minutes.
  • Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a serving bowl or plate and enjoy!

Notes

  • Baking powder makes the chicken skin blister and air frying makes them lovely and crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside!
  • This easy air fryer Spanish chicken wings recipe is easily adapted if you’re cooking for less or more people.
