An easy pizza dough recipe that will work for you every time. Perfect for kitchen ovens or outdoor pizza ovens.
David uses this dough in his Ooni pizza oven all the time and the results are always amazing. We'll be adding more pizza and garlic bread recipes as we go on but you need to know the basics first.

How to make this Pizza Dough
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil, plus extra for greasing
- 7g dried yeast
- 150ml warm water
- 250g 00 flour
- 5g salt
Instructions
- Add the olive oil and yeast to a bowl with the warm water (the water should be around 35C, if you have a thermometer) and leave it to sit for 5 minutes while you get everything else ready.
- Sieve the flour and salt into a bowl or the bowl of your food mixer, if you are using one.
- Gradually mix the liquid with the dry ingredients until fully combined.
- If using a machine, turn to a low to medium setting and knead for 5 minutes. If doing this by hand, knead for 10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Grease a baking tray with olive oil and place the dough on it, cover with greased cling film and put in a warm place for 20 minutes.
- Remove the dough from the tray and divide into three small balls, around 140g each, place the back on the tray and cover with the cling film and leave them to rise for about an hour, until doubled in size.
- After the dough has risen, flatten out each ball with your hands to a rough pizza shape and top with your sauce and toppings.
